Turning Japanese
“.. i think I’m turning Japanese”…*dances*
Haha. Well I’m not sure that anyone who doesn’t know me could tell by the title of this blog, but I am learning Japanese! I am so excited and it’s so much fun. As anyone knows, it’s pretty difficult. I’m starting to be able to form complete sentences about my family, LOL. I know numbers and countries, and how to address certain people, and how to greet people during certain times of day. Of course I know a lot of phrases/words from the anime that I watch & songs I listen to, but I’m glad that I can actually put those words into sentences, or at least will be able to really soon. I’ve been learning actually in preparation for the Japanese classes I hope to be taking in the fall once school starts (Next week thursday, actually). I’ve registered for my classes and everything but the Japanese classes fill up in a matter of hours and so I have to do some paperwork and talk to the professor before I’m actually enrolled in the class itself.
If i don’t get a seat in the class, I will still be learning on my own, I’ve already bought various books on the language and even if I wasn’t practically in love with Japan, I would still continue to be self-taught because those books are just damn expensive! Haha. That – and I want to live there for at least a year and write.
I’m so excited for school! I can’t wait to be doing something other than fold t-shirts at Quiksilver. The one thing that sucks about school starting is that I’m taking 17 credits and I’ll have 2 jobs. Let’s see how that all works the hell out. Oyasumi nasai!

I wish i had such motivation to continue doing what I had originally sought out to do this summer. I THINK about jogging, exercising, drawing, and web design all the time but I never really do anything about it. And if I do do something about it, it doesn’t continue for long.
